Scálfar is an open rail electric vehicle designed for sustainable mobility for the future life in the urban centers.
It's a vehicle compatible with the most popular interurban tramway network systems (such as Milan and Turin
lines)
and it's able to circulate continuously along its path.
Scálfar is designed to travel short distances
at low speed along its path and then proceed to a crawl near the
tram stops. The goal of this project is to improve the movements of people in the city to meet the future's
need for expansion of urban centers, in terms of population and areas occupied.
To offer maximum service efficiency, there are expected multiple active and cooperating modules in the same
network.
Concept
L’innovazione principale che si voluta raggiungere con questo progetto è tipologica ed è insita nella sua struttura aperta. È staro riprogettato l’archetipo del tram urbano partendo dalla definizione di un nuovo concept di questo grande veicolo mobile. L’idea è stata quella di immaginare un enorme tappeto mobile lungo le strade delle nostre città, un sistema continuo sempre presente che fosse d’aiuto alle persone per velocizzare gli spostamenti in città senza troppi pensieri. Un pò come se il marciapiede che calpestiamo per strada fosse mobile. Scálfar racchiude in sé questo concetto e prova a trasporlo sulle comuni reti tranviarie presenti nel nostro territorio.
